Learning Together

We are excited about what God is doing here in Cricklewood, there is lots happening and exciting prospects are on the horizon.

We meet each Sunday evening for ‘worship, prayer and word’ alongside food – it is a source encouragement and learning as we explore God’s word together. We also meet through the month to pray as a team and to seek God for His guidance in the future of St Peters and the plans that are gathering pace.

A small number of us have joined together and joined the Church Planting Course at the “Centre for Church Planting and Growth” which is run by London Diocese in the Church of England.

Please feel free to join with us on Sundays or get in touch to hear about the plans for Christmas 2018 and the New Church meetings in 2019.

Thy Kingdom Come

We have been invited to pray with Christians from around the world during the 9 days between Ascension and Pentecost with the “Thy Kingdom Come” initiative.┬áThis initiative encourages people to explore, through prayer, how they may courageously witness to God’s life changing work.

Please join with us as we pray together: ‘Come Holy Spirit: thy kingdom come’ and may our waiting and praying open our hearts afresh to God’s possibilities.

Regeneration

P_BXS_SITE_N338

Our area is in the midst of major change as we are on the edge of a regeneration scheme, here in north west London. The changes will be huge and children born today will have left school by the time it is complete. Change is never easy but it is a constant and there is truth in the saying that we ‘do not fear change but rather the loss that change demands’.

Our hope, at St Peters, is to guide, support and nurture the local people in and through this change. As a church, we want to demonstrate that the never changing love of God is as real in times of change, as well as times of stability. Should the church engage solely in the ‘spiritual lives of its members’? Absolutely not! The church is here for all people, meeting needs, celebrating success and being ambassadors for Christ in all the changing scenes of life.

Regeneration is here….we will be there in the midst…let us serve you.

We have lift off….

Our first meeting was a great success and we were joined by Bp Rob Wickham as we celebrated starting St.Peters again. It was great to celebrate the faithfulness of God and we began with the perfect hymn, ‘To God be the Glory’.

The journey ahead will not be straightforward but we have begun and are up for the challenge. We were reminded, from an overview of the book of Nehemiah, that we must begin with prayer, play our part and be prepared for any challenge. Whatever success we have, it will be to the glory of God.

St Peters is back…..feel free to join with us in this corner of God’s vineyard.
